COSTUME CREATION
DRESS RE-CREATED WITH A GRANT AWARDED TO MARA GALEAZZI AND CECIL VAN DIJK
The charity funded the creation of the dress worn by former Royal Ballet principal Mara Galeazzi for her performance of the White Pas De Deux from Sir Frederick Ashton’s Marguerite and Armand, in 2018.
This beautiful dress was lovingly re-created with much attention to detail by costume designer Cecil Van Dijk, from the original Cecil Beaton design worn by Dame Margot Fonteyn.
Mara is pictured here wearing the dress whilst performing with Principal Dancer of the Dutch National Ballet, Vito Mazzeo.
